Church marketing evil?

Some people think that the Church can be used in the process most commonly used and effective for today’s business, including marketing more effective. In fact, some companies, particularly helping the development of the church logo, slogan, website, brochures, and multi-faceted marketing campaigns, and other companies to develop these elements, the introduction of new services.

On the other hand, some people do not like this practice, and that should continue to serve the Church away from them the better. They think that marketing is a fraud, manipulation, superficial, secular, and it is – evil.

and then in the middle where I think we know best their own. We want our church to reach more people in our community. We would like to express our passion and love for God and people. If people would just go to Sunday services, we know that God will appear, and touched their hearts, to show them amazing Ming Sheng, who are these with him. We hope that people will understand the knowledge of God as they had a chance, but it is so hard to get in this media saturated culture, people’s attention. We must reach out, but we do not want to resort to speculation, tricks, goals or business strategies.

a marketing approach to do this, or is marketing evil?

against the Church’s marketing is usually divided into four categories.

1) Marketing is manipulation.
Some people think that marketing is the manipulation of nature, that is all about positive and negative overshoot of concealment, or marketing to play to the fears or emotions of people to be effective.

Now, if you are a company selling things are bad, like the tabloid magazines, or junk food, people, work is almost the only option. However, if you offer something really useful for people, then there is no reason to manipulate or lack of sincerity. Church to help people connect with God through this man found his life for the community of unconditional love, peace, daily guidance, purpose and eternal life. No other organization in the world can not compete with them.

2) Marketing is superficial.
others argue that the style of marketing to promote the material. You sell a mockery is steak, right? You can tell people what they want to hear, right?

Unfortunately, I think a lot of churches, in fact, is to promote who they are, in order to appeal to people convicted of surface elements. I have seen many churches to talk about it with rockin’est worship band, interesting children’s program, the construction of the best young price-earnings ratio, or the most exciting story. That is not what is rock, fun, cool, inspiring wrong, but if these are the reasons you telling people that they should participate in your church, this is what people would expect. At this point it would be all superficial, in contrast to help people connect to the whole purpose of God, or want to “bait and switch” when it comes to hard part of following Christ.

However, here again, the Church has an advantage when it comes to marketing, because they superficially. The Church does not seek rockin’est worship band, can provide the experience of worship, people can connect through music and words, they can be with God and your heart with all means. She does not have super fun kids programs, you can let the children in spiritual and moral foundations of the settings, they’ll enjoy and remember.

In fact, the market-style church itself is a great opportunity, because of the lack of the church there are so many content providers, and deep down, people really want.

3) marketing sucks.
Another objection people have to go to church, especially in marketing is that it’s just flat out annoying bad. A lot of church marketing is not only confusing, but this is beating a dead horse, died ten years ago. I can not describe how much I cringe every time I see a cheesy cliche of the Christian church sign. If I see another “Jesus?” T-shirt, I could not stop, the pursuit of their people with the lighter.

illegal market of Truth Church of the shame of many is not good, but it did not happen. That is why communications center for the church began, Church Marketing Sucks blog. Church led by the creator of the universe, so that the Church should take the lead in creativity, originality in the world, and inspiration. To do marketing, not “cold outside” or other church efforts to keep up with trends in the secular market, but say their church is all about our creation, installation, inspired by God.

4) Marketing is annoying.
We all hate advertising is our most favorite TV programs interrupted, does not it? (Thank God my DVR!) We hate spam. We hate a movie in the beginning of the endless commercials. We hate you is our doorbell rings, to a dinner in selling our magazine. The last thing the Church needs to do is to hate, right?

ah, yes, but I did not have the church also wants to provoke people. Market does not get you upset. You have been through in the Sunday newspaper ads look like? Whether to save 5 yuan coupons by mail? Marketing is a disturbing thing, you’re not interested, or the time difference, but when we are interested in something, the time is right, we just care about it. Information at the right time to correct the key people.

This is why it is so important, you have good church web site, shows a significant search engine. If the key information at the right time, right people, you can make your church, but the people who are for the Church when searching for information search better?

What is marketing?
Finally, I think that’s one reason, some Christians believe that marketing is evil, because they think of advertising as part of marketing. However, marketing is more comprehensive than advertising. Here are some of my marketing know …

definition of “marketing is basically sharing your love. for your passion. Your faith.”
<, br /> “Marketing is a simple transfer of enthusiasm from one person to another.”

who do not want to share their love, passion and faith in God, their church?
marketing is not a substitute for personal evangelism. In fact, personal evangelism, can greatly improve the whole church to become part of the marketing plan. Church, to develop a large site, and provide printed brochures, invitations, and promotional activities can make a personal evangelism efforts easier and more efficient.
